FDA Issues Class I Recall for Tomatoes Over Salmonella Risk Across Southern States

The FDA has announced a Class I recall for tomatoes from Williams Farms Repack LLC due to salmonella contamination, warning consumers in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The bacteria can cause severe illness, and simply freezing or canning the tomatoes won't make them safe. Discard or return these products immediately.
