Glasgow mallet attack: Teen admits classroom assault that left student with brain injury

A 17-year-old has admitted assaulting a 16-year-old with a wooden mallet during a woodwork class at Cardonald College in Glasgow, causing a fractured skull and brain bruising. The incident began with sawdust being thrown and escalated when a wooden block was hurled. The attacker struck twice to the head. He pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court. Both teens are protected by reporting restrictions.
